Speaking Engagements & Workshop Facilitation
Sustainable Design Workshop Series
Originally created as an internal training the design team at PALO IT, our three-part series was later launched publicly to help designers consider the environmental and social impact of their work.
I developed and facilitated the session on the social dimension of sustainability, covering topics such as dark patterns and how designers can advocate for more transparent, responsible experiences (I also wrote about it here). We also looked at how to design for accessibility and inclusion—what it truly means, who we are including (or not), and how to make it part of everyday practice.
My colleagues led the other sessions, focusing on areas like reducing digital resource use—for instance, optimizing page weight and performance efficiency.

Climate Fresk Facilitation
The name Climate Fresk comes from the French word fresque—a nod to collaborative mural painting, where individual pieces come together to form a bigger picture. The Climate Fresk workshop is run globally to help people build a shared understanding of climate change. Using a deck of illustrated cards, participants map out the chain of causes and effects driving the crisis, uncovering how everything connects.

I’m a certified Climate Fresk facilitator and have led sessions for designers and mixed audiences. Each workshop unfolds differently, but the best moments are always when participants realize how closely linked our actions, industries, and ecosystems are.

Facilitation feels like a craft that keeps growing with every session, and it’s a skill that carries across almost any topic. I’ve shared some reflections on it here.
I’ve been invited by General Assembly to speak on panels about evolving design careers and the rapid shifts shaping the industry. GA is also where I made my own transition into design, so it’s been meaningful to return and share experiences from the other side. These sessions are my favorite ways to connect with the broader design community.
